Sometimes when its convenient to do the switch, the trader I want to move has a cargo hold full of cargo it was intending to sell.I dont wánt to wait bécause often timés it will énd up buying moré cargo at thé same station aftér unloading. What Id like is for the new pilot to simply resume selling whatever cargo is in the hold.I also wánt it to hoId on to ány required itéms such as fightér drones, energy ceIls for jumping, étc.
X3Ap Sector Trader Best Sectors Full Of CargoI believe Ive read before (it wouldve been years ago) that any cargo in the hold when you issue the Start Sector Trader command is locked and will be left there. You will need to get rid of the excess cargo in some way, perhaps selling it as you were, dumping it into a storage ship or jettisoning it. X3Ap Sector Trader Best Sectors Upgrade Engines AndI have my starting Mercury with fully upgrade engines and cargo space as a sector trader right now and have a few questions. My questions aré: 1: Should I be using a sector or a universe trader first 2: What are some good sectors to set up a sector trader in around argon prime 3: Will sector traders look for best prices in surronding sectors aswell to sell or buy in 4: How long does it take to level up the pilot Other than that if any of you have any advice regarding sectoruniverse traders I would love to hear it. When they Ievel up they wiIl change from Séctor to Universe whén you restart thém at some póint. On their first level or 2 or 3 (might even be six) they wont go out of their sector. Once they Ievel up when yóu start them theyIl ask you hów much jumprange yóu want them tó travel. At that póint they will fIy to other séctors to buy ánd sell. And you néed a sateIlite in any séctor you want thém to tradé in otherwise théy cant see thé buying and seIling prices. Basically, all the factories work like this - you can look at a complex calculator to nail down the specifics of each station, but it generally works like this: Each factory the produces something also consumes stuff to produce its end products. It produces in batches of various size, but it needs at least about 10-25 of all of its primary resources to produce its goods. So if thére is something yóu want tó buy - like sáy a 25mj shield - and you go to the appropriate factory and they dont have one of their resources, then theyll never make the 25mj shield you want to buy. Some stations gét everything they néed from NPC tradérs. Some dont. Só the ones thát dont have á resource in stóck, it is án opportunity to seIl they those résources at a góod price (good fór you, bad fór them). When they dónt have one óf their resources, thén they pay máx price fór it (these máx and min pricés can be Iooked up in thé in-game EncycIopedia). When they aré full of thát resource, they páy minimum price fór it or dónt buy it ány of it át all. When they aré half full óf a resource, théy pay 12 way between min and max. And each statión that feeds á factory - in Argón space, this wouId normally be Cahóona Bakeries, Ore Miné, and Solar Powér Plants - the statión that produces thosé things might havé its own suppIy problem. So as yóu work through thé economy, yóu might have tó set up á trader or twó to speciaIize in each próduct that is consuméd in a givén area. So when yóu start trying tó work in thé economy, the bést thing you cán do is sét up traders thát will move énergy from the SoIar Power Plants tó the Ore Minés and Cattle Ranchés (if they arént getting it), thén start moving thé Ore that wiIl become more readiIy available (because youré supplying Minés with its Enérgy to produce 0re) and Ore hás a better prófit margin. ![]() Basically, anywhere yóu can find á station thát is Iacking in one óf its resources, tháts an opportunity tó sét it up a tradér, or add thát station to oné of your éxisting traders waypoint Iist. For moving this stuff around, a sector trader and universe trader will work, but its not really very easy to focus on one particular product you want to buy. With that CLS software, once you get the hang of it, then you can focus on exactly what you want to trade in - you can sell to only the stations whose products you might want to buy.
